A few months back, I told my little sister (who happens to be a photographer as well) that Fall was permanently ruined for me. I insisted that I would not be decorating my house with pumpkins, gourds, and orange things. I have had pretty miserable morning sickness for two Fall seasons now and the thought of candy corn and yellow leaves brought to mind my countless trips to the bathroom...or, let's be honest, the closest trash can. Well, I was wrong. Autumn is not ruined for me after all and I can actually look at pumpkins without feeling nauseated. Yay! So I used the chestnuts from our CSA crop a few weeks ago to create one seasonal decoration in my home. After all, this season does point me towards gratitude and the Maker from whom all good things flow.
