I guess you could say it started one evening when a mutual friend set up a casual get-together at a local pub. Kasey was excited about the chance to get to know Mike and enjoy an evening out with friends. But as the minute hand slowly moved past their meeting time and Mike didn't show, Kasey began to lose hope for the night. Surely he would have made the effort to show. May be he wasn't interested after all. But that couldn't have been further from the truth. Sure enough, Mike eventually made it to the pub. And luckily for him, he didn't miss the opportunity to talk with Kasey, even if he had a little catching up to do. Fortunately, Mike's a long-distance runner and perseverance just may be one of his strong suits. Before long, Kasey was taken with Mike and their love for one another grew. They're now planning a beautiful, late summer wedding in Oglebay and I have no doubt Mike will show up on time that day. :)
I met Kasey and Mike in the quaint, historic town of Harmony for their engagement shoot last weekend. We were blessed with a beautiful autumn evening. The day had started with dark clouds, but the sun came out shortly before our shoot and the light was gorgeous. Fall is such a perfect time to shoot! And Kasey & Mike were gracious and enthusiastic--I love it when couples are excited about their pictures. I knew I would enjoy working with them from our first meeting together, but I was grateful for the chance to get to know them and hear about their wedding. It's sure to be a beautiful day! Thank you so much, Kasey and Mike, for making the trek to Harmony. You two are such terrific people and it's an honor to share in the excitement of your engagement!
