Of all the seasons in western Pennsylvania, I've found that autumn can be the most challenging for scheduling. Not only is the weather often unpredictable, but we're in a race against the clock. The vivid, autumnal colors only last for a few short weeks and then it's nothing but winter landscapes for about six months. Squeezing in fall shoots, in the midst of ominous forecasts, is always a bit tricky. I've actually been quite fortunate this year though and it's partly because of clients like Kellie and Gabe. When I chatted with Kellie last week before her shoot, the forecast was questionable at best with a 70% chance of rain. I would have completely understood if she chose to reschedule, but she and her fiance Gabe were completely up for braving the weather. We did end up having quite a bit of rain, but I think it actually ended up lending a beautiful, romantic feel to the photographs. And, with the help of umbrellas and Volant porches, we made it work! Kellie and Gabe, thank you again for your flexibility, kindness, and approachability. You two are such a beautiful (and stylish!) couple and it was truly a privilege to spend the evening documenting this season for you!
