I can't believe we are ringing in a new year and a new slew of weddings already! I'm thrilled about the weddings we have this year and I couldn't be happier to start it all off with this beautiful winter one. Dustin and Joanna (you may remember them from their engagement session this past Fall) were married on Saturday and it was a truly delightful day from start to finish. Everything came together seamlessly--from the schedule and the weather to their felicitous rustic details. And as I reflect on the day, one word keeps playing over and over in my mind--family. Dustin and Joanna are surrounded by such an incredible rural, small-town community of family, friends, and neighbors. And their wedding day poignantly reflected not only the love that Dustin and Joanna savor, but the love they share with their entire community. By the end of the day, I felt like such a part of their circle that I was only slightly offended Joanna hadn't asked me to be one of her 11 bridesmaids. ;)
I know I always say this about my couples, but honestly, I cannot think of two more enjoyable, kind, and intentional people than these two. Joanna and Dustin, thank you, thank you, thank you! Dustin and Joanna were married at Oakland United Methodist Church in Dempseytown. The church
was packed full of family and friends--a true testament to just how awesome and loved these two are!
Married! We were able to find a small snowy area near the church for wintery photographs. And the
best part? We had a bit of snow on the ground and 50-degree weather with a touch of the warm sun!
And on to the reception! Dustin & Joanna hosted a terrific winter party in Oil City, tied together
with lovely DIY rustic details, winter themes, and plenty of laughter, food, dancing, and fun!
