Since starting my business, I've rented an arsenal of lenses. From the 24mm f/1.4 to the 70-200 f/2.8, I've had the chance to try out a significant variety of Canon glass. I do of course own my camera bodies, lighting, and go-to lenses--the ones I use 99% of the time. But weddings definitely call for different focal length options. And because J and I never wanted to incur debt because of my business or borrow from family's savings, renting has been a great option. I really love the ease and efficiency of the LensProToGo 4-day rentals. In fact, I'm not sure I'd invest in a $1000+ lens before renting it. But I think the bulk of my renting days are over! Yay! We're investing in a few professional lenses this year and this is the first one. It's a wide angle lens perfect for storytelling and wide scale documenting. And at 16mm on my 5D mkii, it's super wide! I'm thrilled to have it. But more than the lens itself, I'm excited for the images it will help me create this year.
