The Joys in Business: Prints

Since I started my business two years ago, I've always given the high-resolution master digital files on a disc with my packages. I do this for a variety of reasons, but mainly because my clients value having the freedom that accompanies the digital files. I know that photographers have strong, varying opinions on this and I'm not claiming what I do is best, but this is what makes sense for my business--at least for now. Still, having said that, I LOVE when clients order prints through me! And they've been doing it a lot this Christmas--yay!  It does cost a bit more than 13 cent prints through Costco or Wal-Mart, but I can guarantee the integrity of the prints. I know that my lab will create prints with the colors as I intended them, contrast and brightness as I edited, and textures that give a professional touch.  And, I'll be honest, I love print packaging (which I include with orders 50 dollars and over).  If you're looking to order prints before Christmas, you have a few more days to do it.
